I like to understand why we’re building something before I start designing it. If the problem isn’t fully clear yet, I’ll probably slow things down and ask more questions so we can think it through properly.

I’m direct about what I think, and I don’t like to sugarcoat things. I expect the same honesty from the people I work with, and I’m completely fine when someone is direct with me.

I’ve never worked in a field I already knew well. I’m comfortable asking questions, learning quickly, and figuring out how things work on my own.

I’ve been the only designer on most of the teams I’ve worked with, so I’m used to dealing with decisions that don’t always have a clear answer.

I keep choosing early-stage startups because I enjoy being in situations where I don’t have everything figured out. That’s where I learn the most, and it’s how I approach most things in life too.

I do my best work with ambitious people, challenging problems, and a high level of trust. Those things matter more to me than the size or scale of a company. I want the people I work with to feel that difficult problems became a little easier to solve when we worked on them together.
